Because of an incompleted mixture of the filler material with the basic material or a lack of machine cleanliness the transmission factor can vary. Especially different production batches usually vary.

Wolf Produktionssysteme developed a transmission measuring device that measures with a comparable laser power density and wavelength as it is used in the laser welding machine itself. The compact device is classified with Laser protection class 1. The measuring time is very short and the measuring itself is very easy to perform.
